Less adventurous than 3 Suits & A Violin, but certainly as worthwhile, Osaka Solo sees Weber strike up some serious ground during a live set from Japan. Recorded back in March 2006, Weber is assuredly playing the wood on his bass throughout. While the squelching sounds indicate he's plucking the strings, midway through he switches and moves to arco. Extended arco shifts stumble and fall, move in and phase out. Like a barrelling wind, he's done before he has a chance to really stretch out. An excellent live set nonetheless.
